From Earth To Sky, Milan

This installation contains a photo paper ceiling, which I painted with bleach to create images of the universe—planets and stars--from that I hung 500-1000 threads with needles on the ends of them. We also hung 2 large clouds, which were lit from the inside, and the needles outlined the clouds, they hung just above them. The floor was dusted with olive pollen, and under the clouds I placed 300 orange, grapefruit and apple seeds, which had been cast in bronze and polished. For me it was as if the pain of the needles passing through the enlightenment of the clouds had produced the golden seeds in the floor. The room was about 10x14 feet.
